It was a fantastic place to hiking and to use the bus. It was possible to make fire for evening.

Site 526 is nice because it only has immediate neighbors on one side. It feels better than it is. Make sure you heed the parking area dimensions if you are parking a trailer. Maneuvering into the driveway is tight if you are backing a trailer. The camp hosts were kind and because we followed the bear rules we were left alone to enjoy our visit. We brought our two Labradors for a week long stay and had plenty of opportunities to walk them n the valley. No problems and we kept them leashed or otherwise confined during our stay. I was worried that they may limit our enjoyment, but Yosemite is more dog friendly than you may think. Bring your bike as there are at least 12 mi of bike trails on the valley floor. We had a great time.

Great site. Only marred by a sprinter across the street that needed to run it's engine pretty much the entire time we were there.

A busy campground located in Yosemite Valley. Flush toilets and a water fountain. No electric. Bathroom could have been cleaner. Walking trail beside campground. Easy and fast check in/check out.

campground 107 is right on the river, very large space, close to bathrooms, and ranger station- across the drive is a empty lot and horse stables- not other campers. The other side of the river is Lower Pines campground but at that section they don't have river access. We had a perfect view of Glacier point and Half Dome. Yosemite Valley never disappoints.

Of the 3 main Curry Village campgrounds, North Pines is the quietest and most beautiful. Had a fantastic site closer to the river, just a few over from sites with full & clear views of Half Dome. Bathrooms were clean and comfortable. Even occasionally got a whiff of cell phone service!

It is unfortunate that the entrance/front desk rangers have no way of helping people get a site. There is really no data phone signal in Yosemite Valley, so using recreation.gov is nearly impossible - so many sites sit unused. We had to leave outside of the park and camp for 1 night, when every night we did stay in North Pines and Upper Pines, there were probably 10+ sites unused. We travel out of state to other parks and in the Tetons, Zion etc, the Rangers are always so helpful and tell us to get in line the next morning at 4 or 5 am to see if a site opens up. And that always worked for us. The Rangers in Yosemite just say, "Everything is full, you have to use rec.gov". So people sneak in, use the empty sites, and leave early in the morning - wish I had thought of this to save us gas and mileage on our RV.
