We had a great camping trip at North Pines in Yosemite Valley! North Pines camp ground is actually in the general area of Upper and Lower Pines; centrally located with easy access to hiking trails. While T-Mobile had limited signal, Verizon worked better. Staffs were friendly, and helpful. The restrooms were clean and well-maintained. Space 151 offered enough room, though it felt a bit close to other campers; everyone was respectful of privacy and quiet hours. We encountered mosquitoes and wasps during the day, but nights were much better. We can’t wait to return, especially with bikes, to explore more of this beautiful park!

The location in the valley is perfect, views are stunning. Our site was close to the river which was great. The bathrooms were kept very clean and stocked with TP.

Wonderful location…super short walk to River…easy access to Ahwahnee … clean site…no real e-access (both a pro & con)…site had both Sun & shade as desired…I’d book this site forever if I could.

This is a very big open site. Six people with tents could easily fit. Of course the view is amazing. At certain spots there is a view of a small water fall. It was a little too open - not a lot of shade. It is marked accessible. Many of the sites are accessible but this is the only one which is marked that way. Hosts are very helpful.

Yosemite is amazing and North Pines is well maintained and a wonderful location to enjoy one of the most beautiful places on the face of the earth! Unfortunately the campsite reservation process is almost impossible to secure because sites are reserved within seconds after their release and many of those who have reserved sites don’t show up, there is no way to get access to the empty sites even if you are in the park. There should be an additional charge for “no shows” who do not cancel their reservation, all three campgrounds had as many as 7 sites no one was able to enjoy. A $50. or $100. fine above the price of the site might discourage this incredible disservice to the public.

Bring your bicycle! You can travel the valley on dedicated bike paths, away from traffic. Great river for cooling off. Perfect location for exploring the valley. Camping below Half Dome, every view is a "postcard"!

Great weather, great Ranger walks each day. Take advantage to the broad knowledge of the Park Service.
