Other than the mosquitos having it out for us, the campsite is great! The restrooms were clean, each site had a bear locker, and the registry was easily accessible. And of course, the views were extraordinary!

Many camp sites are poorly maintained with knee high weeds. So glad we didn’t have one of these.
Crazy decision to close popular Valley campgrounds for road maintenance at the height of the season instead of scheduling it at a less busy time in the late summer or fall. It is difficult enough to get a camp site as it is. Otherwise everything was fine. Camp hosts were great.

Amazing place. The camp sites are a little close together but the views are spectacular! The shuttle stop is close and the volunteer at the kiosk gave us all kinds of valuable information.

1. There should be a registered guest only bypass lane at the main Campground gate. There is currently plenty of room for it. At North Pines.
2. Most important issue, People need to learn how to make campfires that don't excessively smoke for long periods of time. People please burn smaller pieces of wood and not large unsplit ones that smoke for hours and never completely burn up. We were in the southwest part of the campground and for two out of three nights it was miserably Smokey after 5:30 p.m.
3. Many of the generators are annoying and produce obnoxious smells and unhealthy fumes.

Great location. Close access to the river which felt so good after long days of hiking. Bear lockers are fairly spacious, we fit both our large sized coolers and quite a bit more stuff. Cons are small lots, pretty cramped and close to other campers. Squirrels and mosquitoes were out and about as well.

We had a great stay at North Pines. We have a 29 ft class A and really had no problem fitting into our space. Visit Glacier Point; it’s worth the drive

I stayed at the Backpacker's Campground behind North Pine Campground the night before my backpacking trip. The Campground was kept well and both restroom were clean. Easy to fill water at North Pine. Nice walk to Mirror lake.
