Stayed at backpacking camp. Good value and convenient location. Access to water and bathrooms at north pines is great. Can hang out at the river. Sites next to the bike path are annoying / loud.

North Pines was wonderful. It helped that the weather was beautiful while we were there. Site 323 was close to the river without being right on the river and having a site with little privacy from people taking advantage of the water. Close, but not too close to the restrooms. But the biggest advantage was it was a double wide site. Big enough for my small trailer, truck and another car. Site was also large enough for the family to pitch a huge tent, comfortably sleeping 4 people. North Pines is close to the back trail to Mirror Lake or the Awahnee hotel then on to Yosemite Village and other trails. Bring your bike!

Campsites are very close together, and 10pm quiet time (no fires etc.) is strictly enforced

Sites right on the river with a small beach to access, but you are sharing with your neighbor. Site was medium sized but again your neighbor is very close. A good size parking for a longer vehicle, bathrooms within a short walk.

Amazing time- despite recent budget cuts the staff at Yosemite have maintain the park beautifully and ensured a peak experience for visitors.

The lottery system for North Pines campground greatly improves the visitor experience. Double check your bear locker, as the lower latch does not necessarily engage. Be sure top & bottom latches are both secure.
