What Guests Are Saying
Tuolumne Meadows Campground offers beautiful scenery, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a great base for exploring Yosemite. Visitors appreciate the educational campfire talks, proximity to the river, and ranger-led programs. However, some campers noted the campground can be crowded, and bathroom facilities are limited, with a long walk to restrooms for some sites.

Nice located among the trees, close to the Tuolumne river . If you want a little less noise make sure to pick a site on the outside of the campground. Water, restrooms, and some nice warm food at the grill available by the market store. Short driving distance to Tenaya lake and lots of trailheads.
The backpackers camp also quite convenient, though can get a bit crowded since the sites are closer. Short drive from dropoff spot and close to restroom and water

Overall the campground has improved. The campsite signage, bear lockers and new picnic tables are great. It would have been nice to have lights at night at the restrooms and two stalls minimum at the men's room. The backpacker's campground is greatly improved; big kudos on that one!

We appreciate all that is being done to save the meadows…plus the revamped campground.
We had a lovely stay…enjoyed the thunder storm and retreated to Tuolumne Lodge for a delicious meal.

We loved this campsite! Remote but still has small conveniences like the little store and grill place!
Quiet and peaceful.

Place is quiet and clean. The campground was quite large and included space for our car. There are few bathrooms/sinks at the location, so consider delays because of lines in the morning.

Very nice campsite, would stay here again. The restrooms were clean and there was never a queue. The site is within walking distance to the store which is convenient.

This is a great site for two tents. The driveway is partially shared with G-22. It is close to the bathroom but not close enough to hear the foot traffic. We were lucky that air quality was great during our stay and it did not rain. The park is beautiful, wonderful hikes, swimming at Tenaya Lake, and sunsets at the meadow. Thanks to previous reviews, we brought hand soap for the bathroom. The campfire talks were fun and informative. Looking forward to returning next year!

My family and I enjoyed our site (A 18). It's a short walk from the parking spot (maybe 15 seconds), and about the same distance from the restrooms and water. It's nicely situated between other walk-to sites and felt large and pretty secluded with trees between us and the other sites. Some heavy rain came through during our stay and our tent leaked a bit, but thankfully our site didn't flood. The picnic table at A 19 was sitting in about 2" of water and mud flowed into the men's restroom, covering the floor. Rangers came and cleaned it out after a day or two. We were able to buy a couple of tarps at the Tuolumne Meadows store next to the campground since it continued raining off and on for the rest of our stay.

The restroom was very clean and the facilities were excellent, making this truly the best camping experience I’ve had so far.
However, firewood was not sold nearby, so I had to drive over an hour to get some. Also, the quiet hours after 10 p.m. were not properly enforced, which was quite inconvenient.
I specifically chose a site right next to the river, but some people parked in our campsite and walked through it to access the river, which was very uncomfortable. Even though there was a clear “no dogs” sign, people ignored it and repeatedly passed through our site with their dogs to go to the river. That was very frustrating.
