Tuolumne Meadows Campground recently had a complete overhaul and rehabilitation of the campsites. Please be mindful of young plants and shrubs by keeping all wheels on parking pads and camping equipment within established campsites. Thank you!Tuolumne Meadows Campground is located in breathtaking Yosemite National Park in Central California's rugged Sierra Nevada Mountain Range at an elevation of 8,600 feet. The site is situated along the scenic Tioga Road just five miles from the Tioga Pass Entrance Station. Within Yosemite, visitors can gaze upon waterfalls, sheer granite cliffs, deep valleys, grand meadows, ancient giant sequoias, vast wilderness areas, and so much more.Reservation Tips! Campsites in Yosemite are extremely popular and typically sell out in minutes. Login to your account or create a new account before the 7:00 a.m. (PST) release time. You may only add reservations to your cart and proceed with your reservation if you are logged into your account. The recreation.gov call center does NOT have access to additional sites or additional information beyond what is published on recreation.gov.

Apply for the half dome lottery two days in advance. Regardless if the application is chosen, plan to make the amazing hike. It is truly amazing.

We were given a site right next to Lyell creek and it was a great jumping off pint for day hikes and fly fishing. The grill down the street served up some great food and the surrounding settings couldn’t have been more beautiful. It was me, my wife and our 3 and 5 year old and because it was late in the year, the nights were cold. I fished every day and was able to catch a brown trout nearby our campsite. We spent the last day packing up and driving to Tuolumne lodge where we parked and hiked to the twin bridges section of Tuolumne meadows. This was a trip I’ve been looking forward to for a long time and I can’t wait to go back.

We visited in late September. Despite many vacancies and having reserved in advance, we were assigned to share a camp site with another couple. This wasn’t a big deal, but was disappointing to not have a little Personal space. Other groups next to us had lanterns lit and were very loudly partying until 2:30 in the morning with a music system. Park services did not seem to be doing rounds or addressing this. My husband finally went over and talk to them as the noise continued to escalate into the early morning hours. I’m all about a bit of fun, having a beer and enjoying yourself while camping, but the close quarter spots and lack of consideration or park patrol wasn’t what we were expecting from this camp area and definitely tainted our experience in the park.

Tuolumne was beautiful and the facilities were in great shape. The only downside is I lost my National Parks pass in the parking lot that leads to Puppy Boulders.

Camped in a 16' RV. Had a little bit of difficulty getting the vehicle somewhat level. Beautiful surroundings , really enjoyed Gaylor Lakes Basin if you are hiking in the area. Campground bathrooms are what they are, but the one near us was a little bit in need of maintenance even by campground standards. Still a great experience, highly recommend.

MAGICAL. Friendliest ranger we've ever met recommended his favorite spot to us and it did not disappoint. View of the dome, river and an amazing sunrise/sunset view. There are deer in the meadow almost all the time when we were there in late September. The sites are spread out enough for adequate privacy. It was a quick drive to amazing hiking trails. Would love to camp here again!
