What Guests Are Saying
Tuolumne Meadows Campground offers beautiful scenery, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a great base for exploring Yosemite. Visitors appreciate the educational campfire talks, proximity to the river, and ranger-led programs. However, some campers noted the campground can be crowded, and bathroom facilities are limited, with a long walk to restrooms for some sites.

Great campsite just past the campground kiosk and across from the restrooms. There can be a bit of activity as people go in and out throughout the night, but the tent pad is further inward, which can mitigate the noise somewhat. There is a walking trail next to the site, but people generally do not walk through the campsite itself. There is a very large pad for tents, and this site is far enough from the neighboring site (A022) that there's some privacy. The store and grill are about a third of a mile walk from the site, and Lembert Dome parking area is similarly quite close from the site, making it easy to leave my car parked while I went adventuring. Be vigilant about the bear box, though; one of the rangers said that there was a bear this season that had been snatching things out of people's open bear boxes right in front of them, haha.

Location is great. Away from the valley and the crowds. Campsites are great and the store is also convenient.
Few things will make the stay even better: 1) lights and soap in restrooms. 2) shower 3) many more EV chargers than the current situation with only 4.

The place was amazing. Our campsite was a little bit rough - a lot of rocks and tree trunks - but it’s understandable as the campsite just reopened. There were lots of nice trails and beautiful lakes to go to. Our 6 nights stay was definitely not enough to see everything. The campsite is around 70 miles from the village so additional trips need to be planned properly.

Great campsites, you’re in bear country so be wise!
No soap in restrooms, no showers. Very clean facilities. Not too much privacy, but enough that it remains quiet.

Absolutely perfect. With the renovation everything was top notch. Benches are new and modern length, bear boxes brand new and tall, bathrooms were so clean any time of day and the best I’ve experienced in 40 years of camping. Can’t wait to go back.

The site is very close to the bathroom but still very quiet. Its' a big spot but the parking is not level, but it was fine for me. Though the site is very large, the bear box is far from the picnic table, so it's hard to keep an eye on the food while eating or cooking.
