About Upper Pines Campground

Upper Pines campsites are available to reserve up to five months in advance on the 15th of each month at 7:00 a.m. PST. For example, on January 15, arrival dates for the period May 15 to June 14 become available to reserve, and therefore, the full arrival date window would be from January 15 to June 14.  Reservation Tips! Campsites in Yosemite are extremely popular and typically sell out in minutes. Login to your account or create a new account before the 7:00 a.m. (PST) release time. You may only add reservations to your cart and proceed with your reservation if you are logged into your account. The recreation.gov call center does NOT have access to additional sites or additional information beyond what is published on recreation.gov.  Upper Pines Campground is located in breathtaking Yosemite National Park in Central California's rugged Sierra Nevada Mountain Range at an elevation of 4,000 feet. The site is situated in the heart of Yosemite Valley, an awe-inspiring landscape containing many of the famous features for which Yosemite National Park is known. Campsite 44 - I really enjoyed Upper Pines Campground. Site 44 was good but the paved pad was a little rough and not flat, so I needed to use my levelers. The restrooms were clean, although no handsoap is provided so used my own. I liked being so close to Curry Village for supplies, many hiking trails and sites to see. I'd like to say how grateful I am to the Rangers working the check in booth at Upper Pines Campground, a female and a male. They were both so nice and full of information. The female was extremely helpful and explained how to handle my food in my camper van. I had read so much about the Bears and she really put me at ease with all the information she passed on to me. I was so appreciative of her. She went above and beyond for sure. They both were very helpful and just made my whole experience that much better. Thank you Park Rangers.
