About Upper Pines Campground

Upper Pines campsites are available to reserve up to five months in advance on the 15th of each month at 7:00 a.m. PST. For example, on January 15, arrival dates for the period May 15 to June 14 become available to reserve, and therefore, the full arrival date window would be from January 15 to June 14.  Reservation Tips! Campsites in Yosemite are extremely popular and typically sell out in minutes. Login to your account or create a new account before the 7:00 a.m. (PST) release time. You may only add reservations to your cart and proceed with your reservation if you are logged into your account. The recreation.gov call center does NOT have access to additional sites or additional information beyond what is published on recreation.gov.  Upper Pines Campground is located in breathtaking Yosemite National Park in Central California's rugged Sierra Nevada Mountain Range at an elevation of 4,000 feet. The site is situated in the heart of Yosemite Valley, an awe-inspiring landscape containing many of the famous features for which Yosemite National Park is known. Great site overall. Not too close to the bathrooms but not too far. The space offered to this site is quite large. There is heavy tree coverage, so if you have a camper van with an awning, then you won't be able to fully extend the awning if the van is backed in. You won't get a stable Starlink signal either. I was able to make calls on AT&T. Those are first world problems — it's a terrific site.

very nice campground in the middle of the pines, and at the core of the Valley. Direct access to nice trails such as mist trail.
Toilets were clean. Easy access to water and dump station.
Compared to campgrounds in other parks such as Joshua Tree NP, this campground is dense and you don't feel "at the heart of nature" with all the neighbours around, including some using generators, having music speakers... not a big issue and I enjoyed my stay there.
