Worst parking size in wawana. Every other site you could fit 3 super duty ford f150s this one could barely fit a mailbu and a rouge move a few rocks out since the rest of site has a lot of space. There are rocks stuck in the ground by the tilted bear box and next to the fire pit and picnic table because its disrespectful to move them since the ancient natives sat on those rocks many moons ago but aside from the half of it is in shade and far away enough from the highway.

Decently spaced out. Clean roads and friendly rangers. Bathrooms are very very clean and instructions for the bear locker were thorough. Additionally, if you really need access to your devices, the cell service there is near-perfect.

The site is uneven and you could only park on the edge of the street. Very uncomfortable

Wawona site 40B is a shared site with the neighboring site. There was not really a good area to put up our tent - it was so sloped. The water is essentially inaccessible from this site as there is a steep slope to get down to it. We were about as far away from the bathrooms as you could be within this campground so bathroom trips either were planned by a long walk or a drive to go. We would not stay at this site again if we could help it.

Beautiful, shaded, spacious (can accommodate 2 tents easily)! The sound of the river at night is so relaxing! The drive to the valley was pleasant. Driving by the El Capitan meadow is breathtaking!
Drive to Glacier point, it is a must see!

The site was clean and flat but in direct sun in the afternoon. The bear box was especially hot, so I kept food in coolers in the trunk of my car during the day. I know it can’t be helped, the rains being what they are, but the ground was so hard it was difficult to stake my tent. Also, no one seemed to know where I could take a shower, and that information was not posted anywhere. Luckily, I knew from a guidebook that you can pay for a shower at Curry Village or Housekeeping Camp in the valley. Nearby Wawona Market was the closest place for ice and groceries.

I chose Wawona Campground located inside the park because of access to drinking water and flush toilets, store/gift shop. I came via Hwy 41. It’s near Glacier Point for a great view of Half Dome. Trails abound including to the wilderness. Leave early and drive to El Capitan and other attractions.

Wawona Campground was my favorite! This trip stayed at Hodgdonand all 3 Pines Campground. Ranger was super friendly and knowledgeable. Site was awesome on the river! Can’t beat waking up to a water view! Very peaceful. Level site. Plenty of room for 23’ Class C RV + bike rack. Table, fire ring and bear box in appropriate spots. Trees for shade and hammocks. Floated on our tubes right in front of the site. It was fabulous! Bathrooms and water spigot nearby. Dump station and potable water was 2 miles outside the campground. Would have loved to have been able to fill my tank with potable water at the campground. Dump station was spacious, clean and included in the nightly rate.

Avoid site 042 B as its on a slope and had so much trouble sleeping switching all directions. I see other sites in uneven surface and dusty like ourd. Other than that no comment.
