What Guests Are Saying
Yosemite Creek Campground offers a peaceful and scenic experience, with well-maintained sites, beautiful creek views, and friendly camp hosts. Many guests appreciate the cleanliness of the facilities and the opportunity to explore nearby trails. However, access can be challenging due to the rough dirt road, and some sites may have issues with privacy and amenities. Overall, it's a great choice for those seeking solitude away from the crowds.

This was a beautiful stay! There was lots of space for kids to explore, felt safe, and the amenities were clean. The host was very helpful and friendly. This made for a great family vacation with kids ages 4, 6, and 8.

I liked that it was a short hike and a pet friendly site (I have a senior dog that can't walk much). I thought that the water tank was where we get our potable water from but it was actually from the parking lot area water fountain, so something to keep in mind when going. The only thing that I didn't like was that there's no gate to close off from the hiking trail itself. There is a fence with an open entrance and signs saying that it's a backpacking campground, yet I experienced random people walking towards my campsite within my vicinity more times than I wanted. Me being a solo woman felt uneasy about this because it was men that were coming in to look at the view. You would think it would be a bit more private. A man actually came in the night time around 10 PM. I had to tell him that it was a private campground that I paid for. I feel like if there was a gate that closed off the entrance, it would be better and I would've felt more safe.

This campground is great for those who don’t mind camping in a secluded section of the park. This was our first time camping in Yosemite and I am excited to go back. This campground specifically sits above the valley about an hour away from Yosemite Village. The foliage was beautiful, the streams provide a good amount of flower and grass growth through parts of the camp that made the experience just as serene as it was rugged. Some camp sites are dustier than others.

Bring a map of the campground with you, there are no signs indicating the site numbers. Toilets were clean and people were courteous. Campground is located in a nicely wooded area with streams. No road noise.

Very great and easy access to the Yosemite creek trail. Only thing is the road to get to Yosemite creek campgrounds is pretty rough but it also makes it less crowded.

We had originally booked a campsite in Groveland, CA but as the dates approached the temperatures climbed into the upper 90’s. We knew we had to find another spot and got really lucky to find two open spaces less than two weeks before our trip at Yosemite Creek. Best decision ever! Perfect for our family and 4 dogs. Beautiful views, the creek was still running so we had plenty of access to water and the bathrooms were kept clean. We would for sure stay here again.

Everything was perfect as usual and the Camp Host was very nice and friendly!
Even the guys in the red trucks doing the trash and picking up the restrooms were very friendly and kind!
Wonderful adventure as usual!

Its a great place to stay if you are okay with a 40+ minute drive to Yosemite Valley. You can access a hike to the upper falls which is nice. The bathrooms are okay but there is no access to potable water. You have to drive a long way down a mountain on unpaved road to get to the campsite.
