What Guests Are Saying
Yosemite Creek Campground offers a peaceful and scenic experience, with well-maintained sites, beautiful creek views, and friendly camp hosts. Many guests appreciate the cleanliness of the facilities and the opportunity to explore nearby trails. However, access can be challenging due to the rough dirt road, and some sites may have issues with privacy and amenities. Overall, it's a great choice for those seeking solitude away from the crowds.

This is an excellent campsite. Only complaint is that the drive down to the site is 15 minutes from the main road and a little bit hard to find (note: google maps location is not correct). However, once you get there, the site is close to some great hikes and is pretty peaceful, unless you get the Frat Boy party site next to you (as we did the first night). Would definitely come back

Good campsite and stay. Restrooms were clean and decent.
The route to the campground is made of gravel and not a paved road. There were sedans in the campground.

Was unable to find the campground after sundown. Did not use my reservation.

You’re at the highest point of Yosemite and that means no potable water, no internet and none of that. It’s GREAT if you really want that secluded space! Downside is is the roads, terrible even with our car which had great ground clearance. So BEWARE TO ALL SEDANS AND LOWER CARS. Other than that I had a great time here

The area leading in was extensively burned right up to the campground. This spot is probably great when there is water in the creek, but in August it was just standing water, which meant lots of flies.
Booked the site for 2 nights, but ended up not staying.

We went mid-week and were treated to a nearly empty campsite. An amazing campground off the beaten path. Loved site #70 as well - if the campground had been full, we would have had neighbors only on one side. We were also far enough from the bathroom not to have to hear the door slam all the time. We met a ranger every day and camp services came through every day to service the toilet and trash.

We stayed at campsite 15 for 2 nights. It Was next to the creek. The creek was pretty dry, but had a light flow. The toilet was impressively clean. No portable water. There was a trail to Yosemite Falls from campsite. But got off trail and had to turn around. The trail became less clear to us about a third of the way. We will definitely go back and try again.
The stayed at campsite 33 on our final day and it was a completely different experience. It’s not as secluded as campsite 15. It was less wood no clear place to park too close to other sites.
From this campsite we visited Tuolumne Meadows and the lakes in between. Then
Spent our last day in the valley

The site is well-leveled, but the bathrooms are too close, and since they don't have running water, the smell sometimes reaches the site.
I recommend parking the car to block the view of the bathroom and installing the tent and table at the opposite end from the bathroom for more privacy and to avoid the smell.
The stream is beautiful and has excellent shade, as well as plenty of firewood. But the access is terrible. It's about a 25-minute drive very slowly due to the poor condition of the road. I imagine that road will be repaired in one or two seasons at most!
