Many guests appreciate the cleanliness of the facilities and the opportunity to explore nearby trails. Bring a map of the campground with you, there are no signs indicating the site numbers. Toilets were clean and people were courteous. Campground is located in a nicely wooded area with streams. No road noise.

This campground is great for those who don’t mind camping in a secluded section of the park. This was our first time camping in Yosemite and I am excited to go back. This campground specifically sits above the valley about an hour away from Yosemite Village. The foliage was beautiful, the streams provide a good amount of flower and grass growth through parts of the camp that made the experience just as serene as it was rugged. Some camp sites are dustier than others.

I liked that it was a short hike and a pet friendly site (I have a senior dog that can't walk much). I thought that the water tank was where we get our potable water from but it was actually from the parking lot area water fountain, so something to keep in mind when going. The only thing that I didn't like was that there's no gate to close off from the hiking trail itself. There is a fence with an open entrance and signs saying that it's a backpacking campground, yet I experienced random people walking towards my campsite within my vicinity more times than I wanted. Me being a solo woman felt uneasy about this because it was men that were coming in to look at the view. You would think it would be a bit more private. A man actually came in the night time around 10 PM. I had to tell him that it was a private campground that I paid for. I feel like if there was a gate that closed off the entrance, it would be better and I would've felt more safe.

This was a beautiful stay! There was lots of space for kids to explore, felt safe, and the amenities were clean. The host was very helpful and friendly. This made for a great family vacation with kids ages 4, 6, and 8.

The campsite itself was amazing and very peaceful. There are black bears walking around but just yell or throw rocks near them, not at them and they will walk away peacefully. But the road to Yosemite Creek to get off the main road and drive down this dirt off-road uneven full of rocks was brutal even on my 4x4 lifted truck. I wish they would disclose that on the description of the site. It's about a 2 mi plus drive down to get to the creek. Definitely not for the faint camper. You definitely want to be in the middle of nowhere and it is a pain to get up and down. If you're planning on going to your site more than once a day. Just be aware of the road is brutal up and down to get to the sites.

Quiet secluded location to get away from the crowds once back at your campsite.

Stunning campground. Some sites are very rocky so take note before booking if you are using a larger tent.
Big note, follow the directions to the access road from recreation.gov exact! Do not follow google maps. When you pass an unmarked road that looks like a service road you should not go down where recreation.gov says the campground entrance should be, thats the road. When we went there was only a small hand written sign in ballpoint pen on the opposite side of the road marking the campground. Totally missed it and went way past as GPS does NOT give proper direction.
Difficult to find, 20 minute drive down a dirt road to get to, but worth it.

Great campsite, decently well maintained, beautiful setting. Rangers seem to come around once a day, or twice a day to check on the campsites. The location was pretty tricky to get to.
