Great location, enyoyed my time there. You really need a shower facility at this site, seems like this location is under-developed and overlooked.

nice campground, got to explore and hike nearby. Several well known rock formations nearby to discover. Restrooms available. No electricity available. Good campsite.

The campsite itself was large. We stayed at campsite 30. It was very clean and had slight incline.
Immediately adjacent to the site is a trail head that leads to multiple hikes. This allows for easy access to hike the area, but it also means that people are looking for the trail and wander into your site. It wasn’t bad though just something to note.
We were there the weekend of January 24. It was very cold. The wind stayed howling for hours. Be sure to bring appropriate gear and then some.
Overall, very beautiful and a great place for families. We took our 1 and 1/2 year-old and felt safe the whole time.
Definitely recommend this site.

Black Rock is always a nice campground to stay in. We’ve enjoyed a weekend here numerous weekends in the past few years. It offers hikes, local stores and restaurants, or simply a quiet place to hangout. The main entrance to the NP is a 15 minute drive away. Very nice getaway campground.
