Joshua Tree National Park itself is awesome. The Black Rock Canyons Campground needs serious updating, especially the driveway pavements and bathrooms.

Great campsite just at the entrance to the campground. The road to the site is decent however getting water or emptying tanks the road is horrible. In all (other than road) the campground is nice and clean.

#81 is at the end of the road, very private and quiet.
It is away from restroom but not too far walking distance

We were very pleased with the campground. The sites could have been a bit more level for tents, or maybe at least some better guidance coming from out of town so we could have picked a more level spot, but it worked out well enough. We would certainly stay here again.

The campsites are not well marked and 'haphazard' ... some are better than others
No campsites are level and access may be limited for larger vehicles
Bathrooms are clean
Water faucets may be located near (or at) campsites ... so many people wander through your site for water

It’s a beautiful campground with incredible views and great hiking right from the site. Bathrooms, water, RV water tank fill and dump station was a definite plus. It’s West of the National Park Entrance, so good for getting on the road to head west. I would definitely stay here again!
