We enjoyed our visit to the Black Rock Joshua Tree campground and were in site 90. Thankfully, we have a campervan and we're able to park there. This would NOT be a good site for anything larger than our 25 foot unit. The only thing was that the power was out and the bathroom lights were dark. Also, we tried to visit the Visitor's center and it was closed. Otherwise, it was fine. Site 90 is definitely not level, but , we managed to find a spot because we are so small. Entrance to many of the sites there are very challenging especially to vehicles that have to cross over high curbs. It can be an issue with vehicles that have a lower clearance like our van, be careful.

Note: The Roads are not that bad! They're not good, but unless you're in a Class A pusher they should be fine.
I loved Black Rock! Beautiful campground and we had a beautiful site. The place is pretty worn down in general; the roads are rough and the bathrooms are too, but it's still serviceable. Worth a trip!

Last minute, one night stayover. This was the only Joshua Tree campground that could accept my 24' motorhome, so I took it.
Full house on site, but very quiet with lots of family groups enjoying the site. Arrived after office closed but stopped by in AM to make sure they did not need to check my res. Delightful staff in house.
All good.

Really enjoyed all the unique rock formations in the park. We also enjoyed a constellation presentation given one evening while there.

Friendly ranger, clean bathroom, good views and access to kid-friendly hiking. Desert cottontail and road runner sighting.
