Campground was clean with plenty of space and shrubbery between sites. Site 43 was nice and level with a spacious private picnic area. Next to a toilet but not a problem, it was well maintained. Aspens were gorgeous at the end of September.

Site 26 lacked shade but was large and h had a pretty flat pad area for our 6 person family tent. Site 36 was amazing- a little more private with beautiful trees and shade but was not perfectly flat for our big tent. (We had to split our reservation to cover all of the nights we needed). Toilets were kept clean by the host and it’s a perfect location if you need to head into town to make work calls like we did or get to Maroon Bells pr the Ashcroft area within about 25 minutes. We have stayed at nearby national forest campgrounds in the past as well that don’t take reservations and all have been wonderful but if you need a reservation to prevent uncertainty in your plans, this is a lovely place to camp.

Campground is great! It's super close to Aspen, the camp host is friendly and helpful, the bathrooms are clean, there's a river nearby for swimming and fishing, and there's a fire ring and table at each campsite. We even spotted a couple of moose! Just be aware that there are a few mosquitoes around.

We loved difficult campground - camp hosts were super communicative. They had to move us because the folks before us needed a late checkout and made it pretty seamless to move sites. Bathrooms were clean. River was gorgeous. Access to Aspen was super easy. We will definitely be back. Thanks!
