There is good privacy at most sites and plenty of room. River was hard to get to with heavy spring runoff.

We really enjoyed our time at the difficult campground. It was far from difficult as the name suggests. The camp hosts were very helpful. The washrooms were clean, and the campsites were excellent.
We will definitely try to book there again

Difficult Campground is easy to find, and absolutely beautiful, thick with Aspen tree's, nearby stream and well cared for camp sites. The hosts for the camp were very helpful and pleasant. The bathrooms were clean and the potable water supply was easily accessible. There were also convenient trails for some short hikes right from the campground. Supplies such as groceries and fuel are fairly close by in Aspen, although pricey. Your also right on the road to Independence pass, which we took upon our departure. We used this site as part of our visit to Maroon Bells.
