Excellent campground. Nice aspen trees between sites. Close to Aspen.
Cell service with Verizon didn't exist without a booster antenna.

Great campground, very lush and surrounded by trees. I loved the drive on the side of the mountain to it as well.

The campground is great--beautiful area, close to Aspen with grocery and supply stores, convenient to the river, fishing and hiking. The campsite we stayed at, number 044, was the worst campsite I may have ever used.
The site is arranged so that the tent can be placed in only one location with the door facing one direction, while the pad was quite small for my seven man tent (my wife and I use a seven man tent for ourselves and three small children). To get on and off of the tent pad you must move immediately past a fire pit that is only five feet from the pad. It felt quite hazardous considering the pit is also sunken, meaning even if there is no fire in it you might trip.
Then the picnic table is five feet past that. The firewood sold at the campground is some sort of horribly smokey soft wood. Because of the geography, the wind somehow in the evening always blows that horrible smoke all over the picnic table. That means by the time we could cook the gorgeous trout we caught, we felt like we needed oxygen masks to recover from the smoke inhalation.
The site is also treed, but somehow the trees are cleared in such a way that in the afternoon and evening there is NO shade in the campsite anywhere. (Compound that with the smoke inhalation at the picnic table while making dinner). Also, it was difficult to find trees big enough to hang our hammocks and even when we did, the sun made it miserable.
Also, if you look at the map, it appears that this site may be close to the river and I had imagined there would likely be an easy privatish little trail to the river given how close it appears to be to the river. Nope! No trail, you would need a machete, a shovel and two full days to clear a trail to the river.
Again, beautiful, just gorgeous area. Fairly crowded, but beautiful trails with good, convenient fishing. The campground was fine, but campsite 044 was the worst planned campsite I have ever used in my 36 years of camping.

We love this spot. We have been three years in a row, but our last visit campers across from us ran a generator and the noise ruined our visit. We ended up leaving.
