Really fun experience at this campground. The name is pretty self-explanatory, as a first time camper it was an awesome thrill living right in bear country. The scenery was beautiful and the campground had a great personal campsite with restrooms, water, fire, and trails near by. Overall, I would definitely recommend this area, and remember it by it's thrill and fun.

This is a lovely campground. The usual amenities - vault toilets, fire pits, bear lockers, picnic tables. The sites are remarkably private and the creek running through is lovely. You couldn't get a better deal this close to Aspen! We had our 16 foot Basecamp trailer and were there in July. Would definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed the location! Just a few miles from the town of Aspen. Our site was sunny , but we knew it would be from other reviews. I accidentally left our cooler in the bear locker during the day, so all of our dry ice melted. The vault toilets were very clean and the campsites are spaced apart a little further than most campgrounds. We would definitely stay there again!
