Camp hosts were knowledgeable and helpful. Vault toilets were spotless and cleaned multiple times a day. Electricity is advertised as 15 amp but the two sites (22 and 18) we stayed in had 30 amp service. Water available from spigots. NO ATT cell service. We had to drive 5+ miles back towards Colo City to get service. Great views of the lake. The hosts said bears were in the area but we never saw signs of them. Lake is stocked twice a year and the locals turn out on the weekend to fish. Lots of picnic spots in the park and a lovely small stream that feeds the lake is a short walk from the campground. Bishop’s Castle (google it) is a few miles down the road and is free to visit. This is a high elevation park so drink plenty of water and give your body time to acclimate.

Amazing campground...especially for tents. We were at site 6. Great views and shade! Only bummer was close proximity to 5 and 7, but still a great spot.

The campsite is beautiful. There are accessible toilets and trash cans. The sites are clean. The hosts are very polite and helpful. It is a little walk to the lake, but not bad. We definitely will be going back.

We have always had awesome experiences at La Vista. The hosts keep the toilets very clean and well stocked with paper. Water and toilets are available in numerouse places within the campground. Electricity is available. Always quiet, and peaceful. Bishop's Castle is approx 7 miles away and is a nice attraction to visit.
