La Vista Campground is the best of everything for camping. We camped in a pop-up trailer, and it was peaceful and quiet with lovely views. No bright lights, no loud radio, no loud TV sounds, no cell service -- just peace and quiet. Eccess to Lake Isabel and hiking trails. Plenty of room between campsites. Lots of clean porta potties.

Beautiful and cool, we enjoyed our stay very much. Sites are well maintained. Never saw the host but really didn't need to see them.

Beautiful small campground with wonderful hiking into the forest. There are Nice trails along the river and all around the lake. Nice views from most of the campground. Lots of hummingbirds. We had some heavy rain during our stay. Water ran off quickly. No problems. We also experienced a power outage for a few hours one day, not associated with the rain storm. We would like to return!

Getting There
From Pueblo, go 25 mi south on Interstate 25 to exit 74. Drive west 18 mi on State Highway 165. Turn into the main entrance at Lake Isabel Recreation Area, then turn right into the first campground on the right (about 1.3 mi).
