Love this campground! It's small but there is lots of space between most campsites. We had reserved Sites #9 and #7 to make a four-day stay, but when #11 was open upon arrival, we changed to that site so we would not have to move after the first 2 nights. Perfect site with lots of open space and shade for our pups. There is also shade at most sites, but the direct sun during the day can be pretty hot! There are 2 pit toilets, clean and well stocked and many sites are right next to the roaring creek. The campground host, Sherri, was amazing! She was friendly but not intrusive, and cared about people's camping experience. We were there to escape week-long fireworks going on before the 4th of July and stayed until the 5th. Cisneros Trail is an easy walk from the campground, as are Lake Isabel, and the extensive Day-Use picnic area also running along the creek. None of these were crowded. Lots of places to walk the dogs. We plan on returning for sure.

The sites were a bit on the small side. Definitely be careful what equipment you’re bringing. Otherwise it was amazing

Quiet campground. Great to be able to go to sleep with the sound of the St. Charles River right behind our RV. Lake Isabel offered good fishing & kayaking. Our site has plenty of shade & privacy. Bishops Castle is 20 mins down the road. Would book again.
