We loved our stay here! I fished here when I was very young, so being able to camp out and fish was a dream come true. The hosts are amazing, this is what all state parks should be like. The vault toilets were so clean and made you forget that is where you were...

It was a great site and great views. However, getting water was hard. You can't fill up at the campground so if you run out, you have to pack up everything and drive in somewhere to get more. Other than that it was a good place.

The campground is awesome. Even with the lack of trees in the campsites, the lake and area is fantastic.

Big Meadow Campground is a great place to spend some time. Access to the lake makes it even better. One suggestion is to provide potable water for campground users including trailers. In the long term, since trailers are major users of the campground, provide them a waste dump. The nearest dump is in South Fork which is a considerable distance away. That would make Big Meadow perfect.
