Aside from the mosquitoes, this is a very nice campground! Quiet, well-kept, clean, wildlife and wildflowers a-plenty, and sound of the river. Also, the camp hosts were very nice and accommodated a site change when we arrived during rain storms after having been camping 8 days already and needed 2 trees to hang a tarp from (our reserved site had none).

Directions to the campground need to be updated as they are currently very confusing and not accurate.
Also, it is advertised as a good place to fish, yet there is no bank available on which to stand! Definitely cannot fly fish. And letting us know that the reservoir lets out water in Spring so the river is running too fast to fish would be helpful.

Another great time at West Dolores Campground! The hosts, Larry and Grace were friendly and did what they could to make our stay enjoyable. Good hiking nearby on Lower Stoner Mesa Trail for those who hike. The area is really beautiful!
