We really enjoyed our stay at Aspenglen. The staff are all super helpful and the facilities are all well maintained.
But we do have some concerns about the location of Aspenglen. The campsite is right at the bottom of a valley, which means the mountain breeze in the afternoon will flow all the way to the bottom of the valley and stay right there till mid-morning on the second day. We happen to visit the park on a cold day after one week of rain, and that August night was the coldest August night I ever experienced in my life. :)

One of the smaller campgrounds inside RMNP. Beautiful meadow sites ... we could see the sun rising from inside our tent. Beautiful stream running through campground. Quiet with updated bathrooms.

I take my family to this campsite every year so that we can go hiking in the beautiful Rockies. As always the campsite is awesome with the river right next to it, the large rock that looks like lighting hit it is always there but on the verge of being washed into the river with the spring melt off of snow. We look forward to heading back every August.
