What Guests Are Saying
Aspenglen Campground is praised for its beautiful setting, great location, and well-maintained facilities, including clean restrooms and private, tree-lined sites. Many visitors appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and helpful rangers, making it a favorable spot for camping. However, some noted a lack of sufficient food storage boxes and limited access to trails and water nearby, but overall, the experience remains highly positive.

Lovely campground and very clean. My only complaint was noise late at night. It seemed to be from a nearby residence perhaps. Took away from the get out of town experience.

I don’t want to say how wonderful it was. I’m selfish and want to keep it a secret😊. It is a beautiful campground and beautifully maintained. Very convenient and seems secluded.

I reserved the only site that was available for two consecutive days at the end of September. I am a tent camper. On arrival, I was disappointed that the map on the website had been very missleading, finding my spot surrounded by two adjacent sites. These sites were each occupied by a RVs and shared by a group of no less than 12 individuals. These people were loud, drunk, arguing, smoking pot, had bright lights, and running generators right up until the generator curfew. The camp host never controlled the situation. On the second night, a ship-sized RV arrived across from me and proceded to start the loiudest generator I have ever heard in a campground. I strongly recommend that the curfew for generators be adjusted according to sunset, because the curfew was long after dark this time of year. Even better, ban generators entirely in all National Parks and install AC power. I would also like to see action take to discourage people from making reservations and not showing up. There were a number of nice sites that remeained empty, but were shown as reserved.

Our campsite was quiet secluded yet close to town. We had wildlife walk through the campsite daily. the campground was easy to find and easy to get into. The bathrooms were clean and the nearby. There were an amazing variety of fir and pine trees. I like the walking trails that were inside our campground. One downside was at least on the two sites we tried to use very difficult to get into and leveled on because they were rather small. We got a warning ticket because one of our wheels was touching a blade of grass... I exaggerate, one wheel was off the pavement, in the gravel. The staff was friendly and helpful and allowed us to move into a different site to try to solve our leveling problem. the Aspenglen campground is the one closest to the National Park entrance and therefore most of the trails, lakes and other attractions were farther away, but it was convenient to and from Estes Park, where we had multiple family functions to attend. We recommend this campground.

I do not live in Colorado so when I go camping i am there for the adventure and solitude from the daily hustle. Aspenglen camp ground is very well maintained and quiet at night, perfect for sleeping under the stars. The Park Rangers are always friendly and helpful. There is always firewood and ice available as you run out. I have been hiking RMNP off and on for the past 20 years and staying at the campground for the last 6 years in a row, I will always stay there when I visit.

The site was perfect for us! Convenient to Estes Park (where we were attending the Scottish-Irish Festival.) Our site was completely in the shade. Easy to get in and out with our 15 foot A-Liner.
