Campers appreciate the quiet atmosphere, scenic views, and proximity to nature, including a nearby creek and wildlife sightings. We enjoyed our time at Aspenglen so much that we have already booked another stay for this May. We are so excited! We love having access to super clean bathrooms and the sink outside the bathrooms for washing dishes is wonderful! It was quiet and peaceful. Can't wait for our next trip! Totally blows away other campgrounds like Timber Creek on the other side of the park.

This was a beautiful, quiet, and private camp site. With Mountain View’s around to admire, a lovely creek, along with sort walk/drive to a lovely meadow. Super close to an entrance of the park. The park rangers were kind and resourceful. Everything you need on site, bathrooms, sink to wash dishes, bear locker, close to trails. The whole experience is still hard to put into words, truly magical. Memories to cherish! You will not he disappointed at this camp ground.

We stayed in Loop A and there was plenty of shade and the sites were spaced out nicely. Always enjoy camping in RMNP and would use this site again.

The campground is nice and quiet. People are respectful of others. The rangers are friendly and the small store is a nice touch. Make sure to walk over to view the fenced area showing what things would look like without the elk.

Beautiful place. A little quieter than the bigger campgrounds, and the fishing was superb..

Lovely spot. Relatively small wooded campground with some views of the surrounding mountains. Very quiet. I imagine it is a great spot to see wildlife, although we weren't there long enough. Our neighbors were regulars, were quite friendly, and they gave us some of their firewood since we got in too late to buy any.

Our campsite was large and well maintained. The new bathroom was extremely nice. The older one was clean. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable for the most part. Very close to sheep lake, where we were able to view moose nightly. Plenty of deer and turkey wandering through our site.
The reason for the “3 star” or “good” rating is that the sites are very close together. You can hear the conversations of all the neighbors.
The second was that another camper brought an extremely unfriendly dog. One of my children was riding his bike on the road and her dog tried to attack him causing him to wreck. Thankfully it was leashed and he was scraped and bruised but no serious injuries. Several sites worth of campers witnessed the altercation. She then started screaming at him and told him he was no longer allowed on the public road. There were 4 families with children under 12 on our loop and she verbally assaulted all of the children. She told staff that my son tried to run over dog. The STAFF told him to ride his bike around another loop that could not be easily viewed from our site. And the STAFF told all the children to just stay off that section of the loop. I felt, that since the owner had admitted the dog was not friendly and it was a public road, the staff did not handle the situation appropriately. Especially since 4 families were inconvenienced over 1 aggressive dog/owner.

We had a good trip to Aspenglen. The site was a good size and was set away from other sites. It was generally quiet and peaceful which we appreciated. The bathroom facilities were quite clean and the parking situation was fine. We would recommend Aspenglen for car camping.

Wow. My experience here was amazing. I had checked all the FCFS campgrounds closer to my hike, and all were full, so I found myself over at Asplenglen! From the time I pulled over to check in, to departing I felt at home. A wonderful entrance drive, AMAZING STAFF!!! The woman behind the counter was really special, she had so much patience and kindness to share with me- I hope I see her again. My campsite was clean and right across from the bathrooms. The view just coming out of my tent in the morning was really something special. The only issue I had with this campground was the strict hours that firewood was sold. I had to cut my hike short just to make it back in time for the 5-7 window :/ I wish it could be sold at check in! Otherwise, I really enjoyed this campground.
