North Fruita Desert Campground offers a beautiful and clean environment with easy access to fantastic mountain biking trails, making it an excellent choice for outdoor enthusiasts and families. The campgrounds are generally well-maintained, with clean restrooms and spacious sites, though some campers noted the lack of toilet paper and shade. Overall, it’s a highly recommended spot, especially for those looking to enjoy mountain biking in a friendly atmosphere.

We camped in mid-February, mostly for a chance to try out our new van. We have camped here before but never this early in the year. There was still 6 inches of snow in the shade and as far as we could tell there were not any other campers in the campground the 2 nights we were there. It was really quiet and peaceful-very enjoyable!! The trails were a little too muddy to ride so we just took some long walks on the gravel roads. This is a well designed campground with nice separation between sites. The tent sites are level and have concrete tables and fire rings. However most of the parking pads are not level, so it you are in a van or truck camper be sure to bring leveling blocks. I recommend this campground.

nice place. your prices are way too high especially for off season. when i visit a campground in the national forests/parks and the senior discount is what it is here, it makes me wonder. most of the campsites i have been to give a 50% senior discount. ok, that's fine. the monument campground is $20 with a 50% senior discount. what up? no water, no electricity, no nothing, but it's at a premium price. charge what you like during peak season, but off season, rethink it. like i said, a nice place.

Outhouse/Pit toilet was clean and stocked with TP. Sign marking camp spots was easily visible and camping spaces plenty. Booking online easy.
My only suggestion is for an RECREATION.gov APP have a better directions to locations and be able to use a GPS map to see ALL the available camping areas
