What Guests Are Saying
Saddlehorn Campground offers breathtaking views and well-maintained facilities, including exceptionally clean bathrooms and attentive camp hosts. While some sites are close together and certain spots may not be ideal for tents, many campers appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, especially in the tent-only sections. The campground is conveniently located near hiking and mountain biking trails, making it a great choice for outdoor enthusiasts.

Clean and quiet campground. Appreciated visiting with hosts as I set up my tent early.

The campground admin staff chose to allow a for-profit company reserve multiple camp sites in loop C (tents only). Unfortunately this company provides camping adventure services to parents of middle school aged children, so loop C was a source of noise and kids running around. Their camp supervisors did not intervene when they violated camp site boundaries, in fact it was not the children's fault, but the lack of supervision. It was frustrating to see large numbers of campsites unavailable for reservations, only to find out that a company had preferential reservation treatment. NOT good!

Beautiful vista, quiet campground. Bathrooms were clean and new. Liked that these were smaller sites and didn't have tons of massive RVs. Some camp sites have odd placement of picnic tables and grills though.

The hosts were very pleasant and bathrooms were clean. The hiking trails were within walking distance of the campground which was very nice. Great spot to view the canyon and do birdwatching. However - The site was better for a tent - not our 19 ft campervan. It had a moderate slope and was hard to level the van because of the grade. The table and grill were behind the campsite next to us so it was a bit awkward.

The camp hosts were wonderful and our campsite was great, with a view of the book cliffs.

I found the campground to be quite pleasant. The sites are close together but there is adequate vegetation to allow privacy. Restrooms were clean. Site 73 I found to be level enough for my min van but others, more discerning, may want to use their levelers.
