We really enjoyed our stay at this campground! Close walks to amazing overlooks and the visitor's center were a plus and there appears to be a lot of open space in the tent campground in loop C.

We made a reservation in Loop B. When we arrived we found out that almost none of the sites in Loop B were compatible with tents, especially the one we had reserved. The camp host was super friendly and suggested we move to Loop C where there was still some first-come first-serve openings that could actually accommodate a tent. Unless you have an RV, or self supporting 1-person tent and don't mind sleeping on the rocks, uneven ground, or asphalt next to your car, I would suggest using Loop C. Loop B was constructed for RVs and campers and not for those of us who still use tents. The website descriptions should include information on tent compatibility. Campsites in Loop C are really packed tight together, so don't expect too much privacy. The historic restrooms were nice and clean. The area is beautiful. An added bonus is that your just above Fruita and Grand Junction so the cell service is super strong in the campsites.

What a wonderful campground and place! The camp host was perfect, and it was so lovely to be surrounded by quiet, friendly, nature-loving people. The night sky program was wonderful, and the monument itself was spectacular. Camping here brought back joyous memories of camping here when I was little, and helped me to see there are still beautiful places and kind people in the world. It is one of my favorite places.

Great view of the surrounding area, great sunset. Campsite is all on rocks so if sleeping in a tent bring a good mat or mattress.

Beautiful campground with fantastic camp sites. We had a great site for my tent. There were a lot of awesome hiking trails very close to the campground.

Overall is good. But I don't like the powerline over our campsite. Also there is no tent pads at all.
