Saddlehorn Campground

A beautiful campground in a spectacular national park. We appreciated being there. The nightly ranger talks were informative.

Great views, Clean restrooms with running water. Shady sites.

Excellent views of the valley and the monuments. The 7-day pass is a great deal for multi-day stays.

I arrived after 6 pm and left before 8 am the next morning and really enjoyed my short stay! I do a lot of dispersed camping but enjoy facilities like water and FLUSH toilets(!) and running water at the sinks so much when I have to pay. You never know who may be next to you at a public campground though, and a young family arrived past dark and was very noisy as I was attempting to sleep. A young girl about age 4 was very talkative and her voice really carried- she was quite the talker. I made friends the next loop over walking my dog as they had a dog and was invited to spend a few hours visiting at their table before dark- so a very friendly place!

Although the views at Saddlehorn are wonderful, the actual campsites are not very user friendly. The first site would have had our door opening right on to the road. The second one was on quite a slope. I think they tried to cram too many sites into a small, awkward space.
The camp host was very friendly and helpful, however.

Nice campsite, nice and quiet and dark at night, good places and easy to find.

Ranger Randy gave a great talk about Wildlife on 6/8 evening.

Beautiful campsite! The camp host came around to make sure everything was good and had a nice conversation about the National Park. The view and scenery was amazing.

Great campsite. Parked close to neighbors but can pitch a tent further into the brush. Beautiful view over the monument if you are in the right campsite or willing to go on a little walk. I would stay here again!
