Well maintained Campground. Matt and Jessie were excellent camp hosts. Did lots of hiking and wildlife watching . Lodge nearby has excellent food. Campgrounds have water even though the website says none available. Plan on going back for the fishing and fall foliage.

This campground is a bit of a drive for anyone in the Denver Metro area, it took us about 5 1/2 hours, however there were multiple times we said it was worth it. This is an incredibly beautiful area with lots of wildlife. The camp hosts really wanted us to have an enjoyable experience and were very friendly and helpful. My only regret, with that drive, is that we only did one night. There are three lakes very close by that are apparently good for fishing, too. There was a fire ban but they've got built in pits, which are allowed. There's also a lodge and restaurant near the campground, if you're into that kind of thing while camping. It was actually pretty quiet too despite us going fourth of July weekend. It was just an excellent experience!

One afternoon we went horseback riding at Trapper's Lake Lodge. We had a great time, certainly the highlight of our trip.
