The views are spectacular. Spots are pretty insulated from other spots. Food storage boxes and firepits with grill grates were great. Two sets of bathrooms on the premises.

Winter camping was great. The hike to the falls was great. Cell phone coverage would have made it even better.

Views are beautiful. We stayed here to catch the sunrise at sand dunes, so if you don't get any reservations at national park, this is an excellent option with bathroom facility.

Great camping spot that look out over the valley and Sand Dunes. Only a short hike to the falls from campground.
Really enjoyed my stay.

Beautiful view of the valley below. Long steep drive to the campground. Clean and well kept area. Close to Sand Dunes. We had a bear encounter one night, but he was just curious.

Great experience, and will go back. Only real complaint was there were no hosts on site, but luckily we had quiet and respectful 'neighbors' nearby, so no conflict there. (Driving in we saw a very large group of people (TX plates, I think) who were set up to party. Full bar set up, big speakers, etc. ... thankfully we were nowhere near them. And, due to no hosts, the garbage bins got really full, to the point you really had to stuff anything into it. Small downsides to a wonderful stay. Unreal scenery, quiet, nice sized bear boxes.
