Beautiful drive up, friendly and helpful camp host, clean bathrooms, incredible view. Proximity from camp to falls made it even better

Great campground! Sites were far enough apart that you didn’t feel cramped. Tons of trees and rocks for the kids to climb

The campground is clean and spacious, and the falls were a short 0.5 mile hike and were absolutely gorgeous
Hike up to south zapata lake was also beautiful

Site 17 was very sloped and always smelled of the restrooms. No shade. This was supposed to be an ADA site, but I'm not sure how a potential wheelchair user of those with mobility issues would be able to keep their balance due to how sloped the site was.

Good views from the campsite. Hiking Zapata Falls was awesome! Unfortunately, there did not seem to be a good flat spot at this site for a camper van.

I wish that I had scheduled more time for us to enjoy the experience. We had to cut it short because of car trouble.

The campsite was great, the view was amazing, and the bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Location is so close to the national park too!

Post covid, we've finally seen the return of camp attendants and it shows. First visit to the "pit" bathrooms was different than in the past couple of years. I had to laugh with a pleasant surprise, as I saw the attendants had folded the toilet paper in the bathrooms with a point, as in fancy hotel rooms. Haha. The bathrooms were clean, the facilities were well attended, and the road to Zapata Falls Campground was heaven, compared to the past "wheel-crushing" experience. Down side - the chip and seal road gives new visitors access to the campground and the day traffic has increase exponentially. Camping experience was amazing at this campground, which gives some of the best sunset views in the west.

Fantastic views. Easy walk to the falls. Clean vault toilets. Great place. I just wish the RV slot had a little more room for a tent as well.
