The view from the campsite was spectacular! We were able to see constellations and the Milky Way like never before. Also a shot out to the campground host who was not only friendly, but very helpful. After chatting the bit, we find out he's a fellow Gator alumni! He couldn't have been more helpful.

Clean, close to dunes, very very windy and dusty, short Walk to the nice Zapata Falls, long gravel Access road

We had a nice time camping even though we couldn’t make a campfire due to a fire warning. It was super windy which, I hear, is common of this place. But, it has amazing views of the San Luis Valley and Great Sand Dunes NP.

Beautiful View from campground. The first part of the dirt road was a little rough but not too bad.
