I have stayed at Bellaire Lake campground many times. Very disappointing that the well ran out and the bathrooms were closed and having to drive to Dowdy Lake to get water was inconvenient. I appreciate the discount on my stay. As Bellaire lake otherwise is a great place to stay.

Not having a camp host was such an awful experience. People parked in our site and refused to leave. We showed them the reservation on our phone. They finally moved. Having an outhouse instead of the bathroom open was awful.

No water kind of put a damper but overall we will keep coming there. We love the smaller campground without a bunch of people.

While there wasn’t any water, the campground was still very accommodating. It’s always clean and welcoming. We had a wonderful stay.

We love camping here! Dawn and Bob are the best camp hosts we have encountered in a while. They approach their role with excellence and kindness. Everything is so clean - especially the bathrooms. It is evident that this campground is well taken care of. The campgrounds are spacious and well spaced out. Most have some level of privacy. The lake is within walking distance of the campgrounds - an important note, however, is that the walk may be difficult for varying ability levels. However, it is a short drive out of the campground to get to the day-use lot. We will continue enjoying this space!

We hadn't been up to Red Feather to camp event hough we've lived in CO for 10 years, and what an amazing find! The spaces were nicely spread out, the bathrooms clean (and what a surprise, they actually had flushing toilets and sinks!) and the walk to the lake was perfect! We will be back again for sure!

Beautiful campground. Very nice lake with walking trail. Our site was level and spacious. The flush toilet bathrooms were clean. Only downside was difficulty in finding a place to fill fresh water tank prior to arrival. The water at Red Feathers Lake was a spigot only. We were traveling a distance and wanted to fill closer to the campground.

Loved it! We had great views of the surrounding mountains because we were at the top of the hill. Bathrooms were very clean.

Highway access
Bellaire Lake Campground is accessed via Highway 287, which is approximately 21 miles south in Livermore. Red Feather Lakes Road (County Road 74E) connects from Highway 287 to the campground.
