The camp hosts do the best job in the region. They are visible several times a day ND THE REST ROOMS ARE SPOTLESS.

Campsites are a short, easy walk from the lake with a nice trail around the lake. The vault toilet was very clean. A short hiking trail connects to Dowdy Lake. Especially enjoyed the Bald Eagle and 2 Ospreys.

Great trip! I had heard earlier in the season that the lake was low and had algae, not the case at all, perfectly good for paddle boarding and so quiet and perfect!. Also, the campground host was so thoughtful. We had to come in l the next morning instead of the first night and she called us to make sure we were OK. Amazing campground host!

Red Feather Lakes is a great community. Many vendors fill the buildings for the craft fairs held on the 4th of July and Labor Day holidays. Many fishing opportunities in the area, many trails for hiking and biking, great campgrounds just to get away from the hustle and bustle of work and city living!

Great quiet campground. Beautiful lake with lots of eagles and ospreys. Lots of small trout for catch & release. Picnic tables need to be re-surfaced, painted or stained.

Usually West Lake is a wonderful trip. This time, not so much. NO water coming in, no water going out. Water levels very low. Fish activity limited to late in the day.
Campground however was great. Staff on the ball and restrooms clean. Burning restrictions relaxed although everything was still tinder dry.

My sister lost her phone while we were recently camping at Westlake. Camp host Nikki found it, and after coordinated messages, we were able to connect and retrieve this vital life-line for my sis. Nikki and her husband were ever so helpful and kind! We have been at Westlake several times this past summer, and remarked at how clean the sites and restrooms were, and just how friendly the camp hosts were. We send them kudos and a wish to see them again next summer.

Getting There
From Fort Collins, take Highway 287 north approximately 24 mi to Livermore. Turn west on County Road 74 and continue 24 mi to the campground.

West Lake is accessible via Highway 287, which is approximately 24 miles to the east in Livermore.
Policies & Rules
General
- Drinking water is available until Sept. 30 each year. Sewer and water hookups are not available. Come with your RV/trailer water tank filled. Filling at campground hydrants cross-contaminates the system and is not allowed.
- This is bear country! For bear and human safety, keep a clean campsite and do not place food or other attractants in your tent. For more information about visiting bear country, contact Colorado Parks and Wildlife at http://wildlife.state.co.us
- Boating is restricted to small watercraft, powered by hand, wind or electric motors
- Off-road vehicles are prohibited within the campground

- Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing organisms by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org.
- All campsites must be occupied within 26 hours of the beginning of the reservation. If not present the site will be rented by first come first serve basis.
- EXTRA VEHICLE FEES: One vehicle is included in your reservation. Any additional vehicles will be charged $8.00 per vehicle per night and will be collected by the camphost. There is not a way to pay for extra vehicles when you make your reservation. One vehicle consists of one camper being towed by vehicle, or any other vehicle towed behind camper. One van or one truck with camper attached counts as one vehicle.
- Fire Restrictions: Fire restrictions may be imposed at any time due to hot, dry weather conditions, at which time campfires and charcoal fires may not be allowed.
- Tents must fit on the pads provided. RVs, trailers or other vehicles must fit on the parking spur. Driving or parking off road is not permitted. The parking length ranges from 35 to 80 feet.
- Modifications for this campground must be made through Recreation.gov PRIOR to your reservation start date. Customers and contact center agents cannot modify reservations on or after the check-in date.
