Restrooms were kept clean and fairly "odorless"! The July 4th craft fair was awesome with lots of home craft vendors. Fireworks had to be cancelled, but all in all a very nice experience and definitely a lot cooler than the flatlands!

Beautiful, scenic location. It was easy to find out site. The electric hookup worked fine. The toilets are vault, but had well stocked toilet paper, and were clean. The light stays on overnight. We reserved the site. When we arrived, our hangers were already ready to grab.
We saw owls. We enjoyed walking around the lake, and walked parts of the nearby Dowdy lake.
We plan to go back.

Campsites are nice, the lake is pretty, although it's a low water level this year. Not sure about the potable water. We filled up our water jugs and within a few hours the water turned brown. We were assured it was okay but we didn't take our chances.

The camping spot was clean but the firepit was not emptied, however, usable had we made a fire, however, a day or two after checking in a fire ban was in place so we couldn't have had one after that anyways, the young gal that was running around in the cart that cleaned the restrooms, etc. was very friendly, outgoing, and helpful, the other gentleman with the beard was not very friendly

Very nice sites and the vault toilets were very clean. Take a nice walk around the lake.

We love this quiet and well-kept campground. Hosts are friendly and they keep the grounds and especially the vault toilets very clean. The lake is down about 4 ft but water birds are still living their best life. We were lucky enough to see a mama Great Horned Owl and her two teen-age owlets.

From Fort Collins, take Highway 287 north approximately 24 mi to Livermore. Turn west on County Road 74 and continue 24 mi to the campground.

West Lake is accessible via Highway 287, which is approximately 24 miles to the east in Livermore.
Policies & Rules
General
- Drinking water is available until Sept. 30 each year. Sewer and water hookups are not available. Come with your RV/trailer water tank filled. Filling at campground hydrants cross-contaminates the system and is not allowed.
- This is bear country! For bear and human safety, keep a clean campsite and do not place food or other attractants in your tent. For more information about visiting bear country, contact Colorado Parks and Wildlife at http://wildlife.state.co.us
- Boating is restricted to small watercraft, powered by hand, wind or electric motors
- Off-road vehicles are prohibited within the campground

- Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing organisms by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org.
- All campsites must be occupied within 26 hours of the beginning of the reservation. If not present the site will be rented by first come first serve basis.
- EXTRA VEHICLE FEES: One vehicle is included in your reservation. Any additional vehicles will be charged $8.00 per vehicle per night and will be collected by the camphost. There is not a way to pay for extra vehicles when you make your reservation. One vehicle consists of one camper being towed by vehicle, or any other vehicle towed behind camper. One van or one truck with camper attached counts as one vehicle.
- Fire Restrictions: Fire restrictions may be imposed at any time due to hot, dry weather conditions, at which time campfires and charcoal fires may not be allowed.
- Tents must fit on the pads provided. RVs, trailers or other vehicles must fit on the parking spur. Driving or parking off road is not permitted. The parking length ranges from 35 to 80 feet.
- Modifications for this campground must be made through Recreation.gov PRIOR to your reservation start date. Customers and contact center agents cannot modify reservations on or after the check-in date.
