The camp host did a great job of keeping all areas clean! He also kindly provided us with a map of the area, as some roads were closed due to construction, it was very helpful.

Nice area rich in history; quite peaceful with a lot of birds. Plenty of shaded area and concealment with the vegetation. However, there seemed to be a fair amount of long-stay people going in and out. Facilities were in good shape and bathrooms even smelled nice. Recreation areas were in disrepair, though.

The campsites were not clear, and the road was a little bit rocky. I wasn't sure if I was going in the right direction or how far I needed to go along the road. Eventually I turned around and just chose a spot along the road that I wasn't sure was a campsite or not and camped there. I was a little afraid being alone, but everything was fine and I enjoyed the solitude.

I had difficulty reserving a site for the days I wanted to stay, and wound up paying extra fee for the camp site.
It seems unfair that the senior pass discount is not available thru the web site.
