Old Homestead Campground LLC

We had an excellent time staying at Old Homestead Campground! Lauren is an extremely hospitable host who made our stay memorable and comfortable! The views and accommodations on the campsite made this stay even more spectacular! We hope to come back soon!

Would recommend for any of your outdoor recreational adventures! We stayed for ten days during elk season at Old Homestead. The new owners are doing a great job breathing new life back into this historic campground. The cabins are updated yet still hold that rustic feel. The shower house is clean and spacious. Between the playground and fishing there was a lot of opportunities for kids to be outside. The hosts, including the kids, are friendly and accommodating. The views are spectacular! All around the perfect spot to rest and recharge. We look forward to visiting again soon!

What a great place. We stayed with a motorhome and my son with a camper for rifle season. New owners Loren and Mark have done a great job bringing this historic campground back to life. You can see the vision they have with the improvements they have done already, and there is so much potential for more. I already booked my 2026 stay for next season with them and plan to continue to stay there.

This is now my fourth time staying at the Old Homestead Campground that just reopened this past summer. The new owners have put so much heart into bringing this place back to life but kept the rustic, Colorado charm and history. The cabins are cozy, clean and comfortable with breathtaking views of the Never Summer range. Our family made so many great memories here already from moose sitings and fun hiking trails to enjoying time in the river and riding bikes—our 3 year old son learned how to ride a pedal bike here! It’s my favorite peaceful, getaway spot and a hidden gem I will definitely be visiting more.

This place is awesome. The cabins are rustic but very clean and in good repair. The bath house is not rustic! It’s clean, bran new, and everything you need. I have been going here since I was born and the new owners have done a ton of work to get this place where it is today. If you’re looking for a mountain cabin experience, this is a great place to be. Lots of wildlife and landscapes close by too!
