What Guests Are Saying
Cascade Campground in Colorado is praised for its stunning location, spacious and well-maintained campsites, and a friendly, helpful camp host. Visitors appreciate the beautiful views, especially during the fall, and the proximity to hiking trails and attractions like St. Elmo Ghost Town and Mt. Princeton Hot Springs. However, some guests noted issues with water availability and reservation challenges, as well as occasional road noise, which could impact the camping experience.

Have camped at 8+ Recreation.gov campgrounds in CO and this is definitely in that top 2 of campgrounds. Was nice to have pretty poor cell reception in my opinion. A moose came through our campsite at one point! Only knock would be that stargazing is hard here because of the thick tree cover, but if you wondered to the main road, maybe by the beaver pond a quarter mile up the road, it could be much better.

Great location, camp host was very friendly. The water pump was out though, so make sure to bring lots of water along.

very nice camping, hard to get but worth the effort if you're down around Mount Princeton

Site was nice and spacious, our tiny camper fit in easily. Plenty of trees so the site felt fairly private. Restroom was clean, site was clean and dumpsters were available. Some road noise, but it did quiet down at night. Unfortunately, the picnic table cannot be moved.
