We stayed at Campsite #8. Our good friends were at Campsite #10. We had a fantastic time! Everything was nicely shaded. We had a good, flat spot for our tent & lots of room around the campfire and picnic bench. Even though there are quite a few campsite at Collegiate Peaks, they are well spread out & you hardly notice those around you. I would HIGHLY recommend this campsite to anyone! We spent all day Friday at Mt. Princeton Hot Springs and Saturday we went hiking near by. Highlight of the weekend was the creek below the campsite, kids playing in the forest & seeing a moose on the way up Cottonwood Pass!

We camped one night with a 32 foot RV. The space was a bit small for an RV of that size. Very conveniently located close to vail, but no road noise. Would stay there again. We did have good cell service with ATT.

Weekends are VERY busy at this camp. The Hosts keep the toilets in the best shape I’ve seen. Updates for site availability is timely.

Family friendly and super awesome campground. Saw some amazing meteors! Excellent hikes near by. Love the Lost Lake hike in Cottonwood pass. It was a little buggy.

Campground water from hand pump is very rusty. You might consider bringing your own drinking water.

Overall the campground was amazing. We didn't see a bad site in the whole campground. Every site has shade and trees with a fire ring and picnic bench. The bathrooms were some of the cleanest vault toilets that I've ever visited. My only complaint is that when we asked the host about the potable water spigot, she said, "It has lots of iron and sediment but, according to the state of Colorado, it's potable." That did not inspire confidence in the drinking water source. It might have been fine but she definitely made it sound suspect. We ended up pumping and filtering water from the river. Otherwise, everything was awesome!

This campground is very nice and in a quiet location. The campsite host is extremely helpful. Sites are clearly marked. Cottonwood Pass is only 8 miles up the road - great views.
