Campground did not look as cared for as in the past. It looked sad and worn. Hurricane Ian was not the issue. There are many weeds in the gravel patio area. Sites don't appear to be raked or cleaned up between campers. Campers were complaining about these two issues. Goodwill Industries has a people clean the bathrooms for less than an hour.
I never saw the hosts come around and talk with campers. Hosts did their reservation jobs but were not friendly. Mixed experience. Florida State parks much friendlier.

The campground looked amazing after having been through a major hurricane! Ian might have damaged the roofs but the grounds were in great shape.
Mike was a terrific host. We would have had to juggle around due to the unusual circumstances of post Ian but he allowed us to stay on our site rather than move for one night when moving meant swapping our sites.
The bathroom was clean and always filled with supplies.
One of the best features of Franklin is the paved sites. I loved not having to deal with gravel in the camper.
