Pleasant location in the forest, with a nice beach at a small attractive lake. Campground is nicely laid out and the campsites are spacious. Nice hosts. Only a few of the sites have hookups, and a side effect of that is that quite a few of the campers used generators, making the overall feeling rather noisy. The location is rather far off the beaten path, so getting to other attractions and even getting propane requires long trips.

Small but beautiful campground in a large forested area. Huge campsites, very quiet. Some have water and electric some are dry camping. Pretty lake for fishing etc.

It wasn't posted that the gates to enter the campground close. I recommend adding that to the registration email.
I tried checking online but couldn't find any hours.
So unfortunately I didn't get to stay there. Looks lovely though!

Wonderful, quiet, well treed, beautiful pond, warm showers, clean. NOTE, some GPS will take you thru the National Forest, many miles. The park is only 2 miles east of state highway 12 South of Bristol. That 2 miles is a solid road. Have fun

My only complaint was I didn't get to stay longer! Excellent campgrounds, very clean. Showers are clean and hot. Camp host was helpful and very friendly. The lake is crystal clear, it was a little cold for swimming, but a kayak float in the morning sun was wonderful. I will be back in the very near future.

Phenomenal location, Rick and Robert are terrific co-hosts. The setting was wonderful, generous site sizes. It's small and intimate and within a couple of days you know all of the campers there but not in an intrusive basis. The only reason for not five stars was the bathroom facility was quite worn and needs updating, and there is no dump site.

This is one of the best campgrounds to stay in up in the panhandle. The campground has only 10 sites & in a fairly remote part of the
Apalachicola N.F. One of my favorite places to camp.

We were locked in overnight with chains and padlocks even though we told the director that we were hunting early. When we went to wake someone up to unlock the gate it was like we were not wanted there. Imagine if there was an emergency and nobody could get out of the campground? Very unprofessional.
