Sweet Citrus Acres RV Resort

We have been to 12 campgrounds in Florida on this trip and Sweet Citrus Acres is hands down the best we've been to. The lots are large and level. The shower rooms are huge and super clean and the clubhouse is fun! Heated pool and hot tub is perfect as well. Hope stay again next year. Thank you SCA

This RV resort is not a resort. Pool and hot tub are nice. Bar is great. Sites are small and there is no difference between premium and elite spots yet the prices are different. No trees or landscaping so it is just a basic campground/parking lot. Many sites do not even have picnic tables. We were with a group of three campers and asked if one of us could get a table to share and we were told there is a waiting list for a table.....and they were not nice about it. The biggest issue for us was that Canadians get a 40% discount to stay! What happened to America first! This is not a luxury resort at all.

If you’re looking for a place that feels less like a campground and more like a community, Sweet Citrus Acres RV Resort in Crystal River is it.

From the moment we pulled in, the staff made us feel like family. The property is absolutely beautiful — clean sites, great spacing, and one of our favorite features… the fully stocked 7-acre fishing lake. There’s just something special about sitting by the water at sunset after a full day of exploring.

But what really sets this place apart are the people. The guests here are welcoming, friendly, and truly make it feel like home. We’ve met some incredible folks during our stay and created memories we won’t forget anytime soon.

If you’re headed to Crystal River and want peaceful, well-kept surroundings with an amazing atmosphere, Sweet Citrus Acres is a must-stay.

This hidden gem has everything you need for a peaceful RV retreat. Clean facilities, and super professional and friendly staff. The park is well organized and streets are large enough to maneuver big rigs. Every site is concrete and large with space in-between sites. There is ample low lighting throughout the park to walk at night. I have to mention that the staff really maintains this park. We walk multiple times a day with our three Boston's. We utilize the poop garbage drops and found the bags are changed numerous times throughout the day. They never had the stinky smell. This park exceeded our expectations. We can't wait to come back.

We had a wonderful stay at Sweet Citrus Acres RV Resort in Crystal River. This is an incredibly nice, well-designed resort with a very spacious layout. Because it’s newer and not heavily wooded yet, we had excellent Starlink reception, which made staying connected easy.

The amenities truly set this place apart. The pool is beautiful and comfortably warm —even in the winter—and the Jacuzzi is a great bonus. There’s also a scenic lake where you can fish or enjoy walking the trails, along with clean bathrooms, a laundry room, fitness center, a small shop, and a bar that’s open in the afternoons and evenings. The resort also offers pickleball courts, bocce ball courts, and multiple dog parks, which we really appreciated!

What really impressed us was how much there is to do! 😍 The resort hosts daily events, including food trucks from local restaurants, workout classes, chair volleyball, painting classes, and even discounted rates on local kayaking adventures. There was always something going on, which made the stay feel fun and engaging!

The entire resort is clean, well cared for, and thoughtfully maintained, and the staff are incredibly friendly—you can tell they truly enjoy working there.

The resort is close by to the small town with restaurants, parks, shops, and even the manatee swimming! (Must do 🎉)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely love to come back.
