Such a beautiful campground, clean and quiet. Level, large concrete pad sites, full hookups. Perfect for relaxing, a few trails and of course the springs for swimming. We did take a day trip to Ormond Beach, about an hour drive.

This was the quietest, most relaxing stay at a Federal Recreation area we have experienced. While not isolated, the RV full hook-up sites were nicely distanced from each other. The sites all backed up to an open meadow, just beyond the nice, deep fire pit. It was like having your own back yard. The clearing there afforded a great view of the night sky; while the trees along side the sites gave nice shade for the daytime. The pads were paved and very level; no need for levelers. The restrooms were nicely spaced and maintained immaculately. The springs were amazing and on these weekdays in winter, hardly anyone was there. Great for snorkeling and the variety of fish species was amazing. We will make this a frequent place to get away for extensive periods in future.

Campground was good. Not much privacy. Campers behind me kept cutting thru my campsite to get to the bathroom because there are no path

Lovely camping area. Enjoyed taking a walk every day down to the springs. Verizon cell service was good. Antenna TV service was periodic
The local hardware store was amazing. Had good tacos at Odd Todd's. The DG is well stocked and the laundromat is clean. Drove some forest service roads but not much to see there. Ocala is a short ride. Highly recommend the loop at Ormond Beach.

This was an extremely clean camp site. Staff had emptied the fire pit and swept/raked the ground before we arrived and the bathrooms were kept clean throughout our stay. Staff also drive around to check on things throughout the day. When we were setting up our tents and hammocks, we were told that my tarp needed to have tree straps or cardboard under the rope to be connected to the tree. We made it work, and knowing that they were making sure everyone was respectful to the trees/site but also providing alternative solutions was really appreciated. They did drive around periodically throughout the night, but it was unobtrusive. I felt safe and with the clean grounds, I would definitely be coming back here. I just wish there were more pictures of the different camp spots on the recreation.gov website so that one can choose which combo of trees, shade and open space ratio works best for their needs.

Our only complaint of this beautiful park was the loud road noise around the clock.

Although this park has become more costly with additional fees, it still is a great place to land for two weeks with all the amenities. With the America the Beautiful pass, it makes it reasonable. The springs and run are pleasant to visit and swim in with great kayaking. Ocala and Palatka are close, and the Atlantic coast is only an hour away with St. Augustine and beaches. Miles and miles of national forest trails to ride around in also, if you like doing that. Sites are kept well, and the bath houses are also very clean. Rule violations are not tolerated, and sometimes American Land and Leisure can be too aggressive in enforcing a minor infraction.

We really like this campground. Hook ups are probably the best we’ve had. People working at the office are very, very nice. We found the one trail that’s in the park and it’s a nice little trail. When the weather is warm we love the springs, good for snorkeling. There are 2 restaurants across the road that are good. Definitely recommend staying here.
