Very nice campground, well maintained. When checking in at office lead employee Payton did an outstanding job making our family feel welcomed.

The campground was fantastic as was the staff. Rest rooms were very clean every time we used them. The springs were a big wonderful plus. Great stay for two weeks and will be sure to book another stay.

This used to be a wonderful campground. This is the third year in a row that our camping group has gone to Salt Springs. We were told by other campers that it changed hands. That must explain the excess rules and harassment. No parking on the grass (which is mostly dirt). Fine for parking off your paved spot is $250 per tire. No golf carts although management zips around all day on theirs. One camper told he was late leaving when the posted ticket clearly said he was paid through the next day. 2 days after arriving was told that the hull numbers on our boat were necessary information that is collected at arrival. That information was not asked for just license number off boat trailer and pick up truck. Not an enjoyable weekend!

Salt springs is among our favorite park to stay at. The mature trees and laid back atmosphere make it a great place to stay. The spring is a nice walk from the campground. Everything is well kept. If I had to chose one thing that could be improved it would be that fellow campers refrain from walking through other campsites, but that is not a fault of the campground, it just happened several times and I don’t understand why people don’t avoid doing it.

Our experience was quite pleasant. There was a couple of incidents with people in our group encountering a very rude and disrespectful park employee, though.

We camp at salt springs as a family every year, always a great experience. Love that you keep the facilities clean.

Bring a snorkel and mask because swimming in the springs is awesome! It’s an easy bike ride in the park to the springs from the rv campground.
The dollar store nearby is above average I. Food selection.
The sites are done very well with full hook ups.

Gorgeous campsites under live oaks (some with water, some not so check that), great bathrooms & access to the gorgeous water - great base to have while exploring this amazing Ocala National forest - we’ll be back (& we were there early March). Great weather!
