Oak Hammock Resort

Oak Hammock is a little slice of peace in this stressful world. It is beautiful, quiet, and just perfect for relaxing. You can watch the sunrise and sunset on Lake Pierce. You can rest in one of the many hammocks, toast smores around a fire, play some games in the game room, or read a book in one of the swings that overlook the lake. The cabins are comfortable and well stocked for your stay. The owners and staff are so kind and helpful. We cannot wait to go back and decompress for a longer weekend!

We stayed in the RV campground of the resort this week, and were delighted with the entire experience. The cabins looked clean and well maintained. The bathhouse/game room building was spotless. The beautiful covered dock, complete with benches, allowed us to enjoy the cool breezes and magnificent views on Lake Pierce. We saw lots of nature, including magnificent huge old live oak trees festooned with Spanish moss and resurrection ferns. Observed many birds including owls, hawks, bald eagles, songbirds, herons, whistling ducks, and songbirds. We watched fellow campers catch nice bass and panfish in the fishing pond. The owners and staff were gracious and welcoming. This resort would be a wonderful venue for reunions and weddings. We look forward to visiting again.

I wrestled with myself about posting this review. This is the kind of place you want to keep all for yourself. But alas, It’s just too good to not share with others. I’m so grateful that we found Oak Hammock. I guess it’s not only the amazing lake, the beautifully maintained grounds and the clean, comfy cabins but also, the absolutely stunning scenery, sunsets and rainstorms that dance across the lake and close encounters with amazing wildlife that put this place miles above the rest. I have trekked around the globe and this is by far one of my favorite spots. Give yourself a gift and come stay a few nights. The owners are genuinely, some of the coolest folks you’ll ever meet and they truly go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed. They take pride in making your stay the best it can be. You will not be disappointed.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The cabins were super clean and had plenty of room for our family to spread out and relax. The views around the property are beautiful, and it was just such a quiet, peaceful place to unplug.

Our favorite part was definitely the stocked fishing pond! Getting to teach our boys how to fish there made for some really special memories. But of course, we also enjoyed letting the kids run outside as we sat out on the deck, watching sunset on the dock, playing ping pong, laying in the hammock, swinging on the swings, etc..

The owners are some of the kindest, most welcoming people we’ve met. They went above and beyond to host our family. You can tell they really care about this campground, and hearing about all the plans they have to make it even better has us excited to come back!!

I cannot recommend this place enough. It’s the perfect retreat away from reality. We’ll be back!! (We’re even scheming to see if we can schedule some work or church retreats here)

What an amazing resort. Grateful fishing, very quiet and very beautiful. The owners are super people and very attentive. Great experience! The cabins are a little dated, but for the price, and experience it's very much acceptable!
