What Guests Are Saying
Mexico Beach RV Resort offers a quiet location near the beach, with level sites and a well-maintained pool, making it a suitable choice for those seeking a no-frills camping experience. However, some guests noted discrepancies between the website photos and the actual conditions, highlighting cleanliness issues and outdated facilities. Despite these concerns, the park is under new ownership, with improvements underway, and many guests appreciated the friendly atmosphere and proximity to local amenities.

We stayed at this park for 6 weeks. While I wouldn’t call it a resort it was a quiet place to stay. It’s a short walk to the beach. The sites were level. There are a few mobile homes there that could use some cleaning up around them. The pool is small but well maintained (we didn’t use the pool) there is no tiki bar and as others have noted the pictures do not match what the park currently looks like. I did not notice any piles of dog poop like some others mentioned. If you are looking for a quiet place to park and no frills it’s a good place to stay.

Terrible. I unfortunately gave them the benefit of the doubt without seeing pictures of their “cabins” listed on the website. It was dusgusting. White handprints on the futon, dirt all over the floor, cigarette burn holes on the bed and the futon. They didn’t even have curtains on the windows. Just posterboard NAILED TO THE WALL. Smelled like an old ashtray and they don’t even have the decency to call us to maybe even give a partial refund! We have called multiple times and all the lady says is “I’ll let the owners know you’ve called again but I can’t do anything” and still have not received a called and it’s been two weeks. For all I know, she is the owner and doesn’t want to admit her RV park is trash. Basically just stealing people’s money because they have zero REAL pictures of what this place looks like so it’s a catfish and then they don’t care that you refuse to stay there because of the disgustingness.

This is one of the trashiest places I have ever been to. The pictures are not what this place really looks like. There are people living there full time, the pool was disgusting and barely had any water in it, they dont cut the grass as needed, dog poop everywhere. The woman who checked us in looked like a homeless person. She didn't even bother to brush her hair before coming to work. I was scared to let my teenagers walk around because more than one camper there looked like it had meth labs in them. We decided to just let them keep the money and got another spot at the El Governor. They have a no refund policy because if they didn't there is no way decent people would pay to stay in such a trashy establishment. Save yourself some money and don't bother renting a spot from this place. There is no excuse in charging as much as they do and having such a run down establishment. I wish I could give them 0 stars.

If I could give half a star I would. This place is nothing like the pictures on the website. They have done. Nothing to improve it, they lied .
Not even a little. I wanted refund.. They told me I would have 2 pull through sites by the pool. I was told someone moved us. Don't stay here unless you want to stay in a dump.

We stayed here for a month after I accepted a job on Tyndall AFB. So, we needed someplace temporary before we found a more permanent location for our camper. I believe they're under new ownership and they are slowly renovating and cleaning things up. So, I'll go with the pros and cons.
PROS:
Location is amazing! Especially if you're working on Tyndall, it's like a 15-minute drive. There are places for a drink or food nearby and the beach is just up the road.
The CONS:
The gravel road will beat the hell out of your vehicle and your camper! I hated having to swerve all the way from the main road to my camper to avoid all the potholes. There seems to be some long-term tenants on the property, and they just have crap everywhere and it honestly makes the park look a little trashy. They do have washers and dryers on site, but a few don't work. The public bathroom at the main building really needs some love. I wouldn't say its dirty but its old and needs some paint and new toilets installed. the main building you check into needs some Maintenace so again it's not a good look from the outside looking in if I wanted to stay here. It really wouldn't be too much to clean the place up and it would make a world of difference.
Overall, we liked our stay here and made friends with the other former Airborne Army brothers they just happened to be camping near us. So, if the price is right and you don't need amenities this is a solid place to camp.
